Story 7 naughty Monkey
It’s very hot.. An old man is asleep on the chair. A fly comes and sits on the end of the man’s nose.
The old man has a naughty monkey. He chases the fly.
The fly comes back again and sits on the old man’s nose again. The monkey chases it away again and again.
This happens five or six times. The monkey is very angry. He jumps up, runs to the garden and picks up a large stone.
When the fly sits on the old man’s nose again, the monkey hits it hard with the stone.
He kills the fly and breaks the old man’s nose.

2、吃力勿讨好，阿旺炒年糕
宁波谚语。喻卖力干活 ，但得不到赞赏。宁波的男子名字中多“旺”，凡名字中有“旺”者，小名就被叫作“阿旺”。传统的宁波习俗中，保持着“男主外，女主内”的习惯，即男子不做家务。炒年糕须用慢火，心急而又不善于家务的男子不懂炒年糕的窍门，会以旺火炒年糕，年糕肯定会炒焦。他出了力气不但得不到表扬，还会遭到妻子的臭骂。由于“火旺”和“阿旺”谐音，于是原“火旺炒年糕”就讲作“阿旺炒年糕”。
3、孟母三迁
孟子三岁丧父，由其母亲抚养成人。小时候住山东邹县城北二十五里的马鞍山下，村名叫范村，村不远有一片墓地，出殡的人群常从孟子家门口经过，於是孟子就模仿送殡的人，孟母看见了，认为「此非所以居吾子也」，就把家搬到城国北部的庙户营。可是这裏街上相当繁华，东部住一个杀猪屠户，孟子就学屠户的样子，整天嬉戏。孟母感到这裏也不宜培养孩子，便又移居於「学宫之院」，即县城南门外子思书院旁。从此，孟子被琅琅的读书声所吸引，孟母甚喜，就把孟子送进了这所学宫读书，他勤奋读书，终成大儒。
4、头悬梁 锥刺股
东汉时候，有个人名叫孙敬，是著名的政治家。他年轻时勤奋好学，经常关起门，独自一人不停地读书。 每天从早到晚读书，常常是废寝忘食。读书时间长，劳累了，还不休息。时间久了，疲倦得直打瞌睡。 他怕影响自己的读书学习，就想出了一个特别的办法。古时候，男子的头发很长。他就找一根绳子， 一头牢牢的绑在房梁上。当他读书疲劳时打盹了，头一低，绳子就会牵住头发，这样会把头皮扯痛了， 马上就清醒了，再继续读书学习。这就是孙敬悬梁的故事。战国时期，有一个人名叫苏秦，也是出名的政治家。在年轻时，由于学问不多不深，曾到好多地方做事， 都不受重视。回家后，家人对他也很冷淡，瞧不起他。这对他的刺激很大。所以，他下定决心，发奋读书。准备一把锥子，一打瞌睡， 就用锥子往自己的大腿上刺一下。这样，猛然间感到疼痛，使自己清醒起来，再坚持读书。 这就使苏秦"刺股"的故事。

一个盲人到亲戚家做客，天黑后，他的亲戚好心为他点了个灯笼，说：“天晚了，路黑，你打个灯笼回家吧!”盲人火冒三丈地说：“你明明知道我是瞎子，还给我打个灯笼照路，不是嘲笑我吗?”他的亲戚说：“你犯了局限思考的错误了。你在路上走，许多人也在路上走，你打着灯笼，别人可以看到你，就不会把你撞到了。”盲人一想，对呀!

山上有座小庙，庙里有个小和尚。他每天挑水、念经，夜里不让老鼠来偷东西，生活过得安稳自在。不久，来了个高个和尚，和他一起去抬水，这样总算还有水喝。后来，又来了个胖和尚。从此谁也不挑水，大家各念各的经，各敲各的木鱼。夜里老鼠出来偷东西，打翻烛台，燃起大火，三个和尚这才一起奋力救火 。从此三个和尚齐心协力，水自然就更多了 。
一个和尚挑水喝，两个和尚抬水喝，三个和尚没水喝，这是一段寓言，其寓意是：办一件事，如果没制度作保证，责任不落实，人多反而办不成事．三个和尚为什么没水喝？因为三个和尚属同一种心态，同一种思想境界，都不想出力，想依赖别人，在取水的问题上互相推诿．结果谁也不去取水，以致大家都没水喝。 8、玉不琢不成器
如果玉不琢磨，就不能制成器物；如果人不学习，也就不会懂得道理。然而玉做的东西，它有固有的好本质，即使不琢磨制作成器物，它的特性也不会受到损伤。人的本性，会因为外界事物的影响而改变。
从前楚国有个名叫卞和的人，有一天，他在山里找到了一块还没有琢磨过的玉石，于是他便把这玉石呈现给当时的楚厉王。没想到，宫里的玉匠竟说这只是一块普通的石头，厉王一生气，命令部下把卞和定了罪。
厉王死后，武王继位，卞和又将这玉石献给武王，可是，仍然遭到了被定罪的命运。 卞和失望的抱着石头，在山脚下哭了三天三夜。文王即位后知道了这件事，便将卞和请进宫来，命令玉匠把这块石头好好打造一下，发现果然是一块上等的美玉，于是便将它命名为“和氏璧。” 由这个故事我们可以知道，一块上等的美玉都需要琢磨、打造，才能显现出它的价值，所以人类也许要良好的教育，才能成为一个有用的人。
9、只要功夫深，铁杵磨成针
唐朝著名诗人李白小时候从不认真读书，经常是把书本一抛就出去玩耍。一天李白碰到一个白发苍苍的老婆婆正拿着一根大铁棒在石头上磨，觉得好奇问她做什么，老婆婆告诉他要磨成绣花针，李白深受感动，从此就用功读[2] 书，终于成为文豪。
10、八仙过海，各显神通
相传，一次，八仙在蓬莱阁上聚会饮酒，酒至酣时，铁拐李提议乘兴到海上一游。众仙齐声附合，并言定各凭道法渡海，不得乘舟。
汉钟离率先把大芭蕉扇往海里一扔，坦胸露腹仰躺在扇子上，向远处漂去。何仙姑将荷花往水中一抛，顿时红光万道，仙姑伫立荷花之上，随波漂游。随后，
吕洞宾、张果老、曹国舅、铁拐李、韩湘子、蓝采和也纷纷将各自宝物抛入水中，借助宝物大显神通，游向东海。

11、三个臭皮匠,赛过诸葛亮
话说有一天，诸葛亮到东吴作客，为孙权设计了一尊报恩寺塔。其实，这是诸葛亮先生要掂掂东吴的份量，看看东吴有没有能人造塔。那宝塔要求可高啦，单是顶上的铜葫芦，就有五丈高，四千多斤重。孙权被难住了，急得面黄肌瘦。后来寻到了冶匠，但缺少做铜葫芦模型的人，便在城门上贴起招贤榜。时隔一月，仍然没有一点儿下文。诸葛亮每天在招贤榜下踱方步，高兴得直摇鹅毛扇子。 那城门口有三个摆摊子的皮匠，他们面目丑陋，又目不识丁，大家都称他们是丑皮匠。他们听说诸葛亮在寻东吴人的开心，心里不服气，便凑在一起商议。他们足足花了三天三夜的工夫，终于用剪鞋样的办法，剪出个葫芦的样子。然后，再用牛皮开料，硬是一锥子、一锥子地缝成一个大葫芦的模型。在浇铜水时，先将皮葫芦埋在砂里。这一着，果然一举成功。诸葛亮得到铜葫芦浇好的消息，立即向孙权告辞，从此再也不敢小看东吴了。“三个丑皮匠，胜过诸葛亮”的故事，就这样成了一句寓意深刻的谚浯。
12、此地无银三百两
古时候，有个叫张三的人，他费了好大的劲儿，才积攒三百两银子，心里很高兴。但他总是怕别人偷去，就找了一只箱子，把三百两银子钉在箱中，然后埋在屋后地下。可是他还是不放心，怕别人到这儿来挖，于是就想了一个"巧妙"的半法，在纸张上写道：“此地无银三百两”七个字，贴在墙角边，这才放心地走了。谁知道他的举动，都被隔壁的王二看到了。半夜，王二把三百两银子全偷走了。为了不让张三知道，他在一张纸上写道：“隔壁王二不曾偷”贴在墙上。张三第二天早上起来，到屋后去看银子，银子不见了，一见纸条，才恍然大悟。
