最近，在优酷的一档节目里面了解到了一位英语脱口秀大师黄西（Joe Wong），他是有“美版周立波”之称，曾应邀在美国白宫讲过脱口秀的人。但是相信有很多人跟我一样不太了解他，尽管在美国，进入过波士顿国际喜剧节的决赛，上过大卫·莱特曼深夜秀（美国CBS电视台的著名脱口秀节目），这得益于他切合自身经历创作的移民题材和优秀地道的英语口语，但回到国内不少业界人士的评价则是“水土不服”。
黄西还有另外一个身份，生物化学专业的博士，早期黄西其实是通过利用空余时间把脱口秀当做副业来做，一路走来其实遭遇过很多的挫折，能取得今天的成就实属不易。
黄西最近在优酷上提及的近期创作的最新段子中关于WIFI的一段：WIFI跟WIFE两个单词很像啊，很多不事很懂英语的人很容易把WIFI念成WIFE，其实WIFE跟WIFI有很多相同点，当你没有WIFI的时候很想有，当你好不容易有了WIFI连上的时候会觉得隔壁的WIFI信号比较强。
