一、从基础单词抓起

英语写作需要一定的词汇量。初学英语写作者容易忘记单词。因此,坚持每

天听写、默写,循环记忆单词不失为掌握和巩固词汇的好方法。同时,无论在平

时的教学中,还是作文专项训练时,我都努力做到帮助学生掌握一定的规律,科

学记忆单词,帮助学生过好单词关。

1.根据读音规则法记单词

英语单词归纳起来,还是有一定规律的。

①可以按开音节、闭音节记忆单词。a读 /? /:map, man, bad; a读/ei/: cake,

table, face; i读 /i/: big, pig, sit; i读 /ai/: bike, ride, line。

②按字母组合记忆单词。如 ea,ee,ie 读 /i:/ : please,seat;jeep,deep;piece,field;

ir 读 / /:first, girl; sh 读

/ /:English, ship 。

2.同义词、反义词对比记忆单词

big—large—old (年龄); close—open; put on—take off

3.图示记忆单词

west east

4.按前缀、后缀记忆单词

happy—unhappy like—dislikework—worker visit—visitor

5.利用合成法记忆单词

class+mate—classmatepen+friend—penfriend

6.利用词类记单词

care—careful—carefully—careless luck—lucky—luckily—unlucky

7.增减字母或替换字母记忆单词

arm—farm plane—plan week—weak

8.词组联想记忆词汇

give back, get back, come back, be back, take back, have back

二、抓好用词这一关

学生在书面表达中,经常用词不当,如 a hard wind 代替了 a strong wind;

又如有的学生不理解 surprising和surprised之间的区别,往往会颠倒使用;还有

一些介词、副词使用不当,如“在阳光下”,学生往往会用under the sun而不用 in

the sun,“我非常喜欢英语”,会写成I very like English.

为避免用词不当,在学单词时,要明白该词在句中的功能,并仔细看看该词

跟句中其他什么词的搭配关系最密切;要想想以前有没有学过什么词或词组的意

思跟它相似;要拿该词和它意思相近的词或词组的用法进行比较,分析其特点,

熟记该词的用法,以备以后使用。

三、抓好句型关

句型是外语的基本句子结构,是句子的典型框架,是学生能否写好作文的关

键。我在句型教学过程中,首先加强五种基本句型结构的教学。几乎所有的英语

句型都是五种句型的扩展,延伸或变化,因此训练学生“写”时,就要抓住五种

基本句型的训练,让他们把这五种句型记牢,不断运用。他们是:S+V; S+V+O;S+V+O+O; S+V+P; S+V+O+Co.同时要求学生掌握好句型结构中的几种关系:一是主谓(表)的一致关系;二是名词与代词的一致关系;三是时态与时间的一致关系。

1.汉英两种语言的差异很大,当主语(人称)变化时,英语句子中的动词及其表语都要发生相应的变化,即与主语保持一致。

2.英语中名词与代词也必须保持一致。如:

a) is so heavy that I can’t carryb) 主语的人称代词必须和形容词性的物主代词相一致,如: 3.时态与时间要保持一致,如…ago 与过去时态;for短语和since短语及since 引导的句子和完成时态;look, listen常与进行时态连用等。

4..要熟记各时态的基本结构,如:

It’s six o’clock now. My father is watching TV.

这么简单的一句现在进行时态的句子,学生经常忘了加be 动词或忘了加 ing。还要特别提醒被动语态的各时态结构。

随着学生知识的增长,训练也随之提高,可进一步让学生做扩句练习,发展到并列句和复合句,利用各种句子进行一种意思多种表达的训练,收到了较理想的效果。

四、抓好篇章关

学生在掌握了大量的词汇并能正确地造句以后,写作的基本问题就得到了解决。但是如果只求语法正确,勉强地堆砌词句,而不顾句子与句子之间的逻辑联系,就会使文章读起来缺乏整体感,难懂。根据M.A.K. Halliday的语篇理论,语篇 接主要通过语法手段、词汇手段和逻辑关联语来完成。因此教师要指导学生增强语篇意识,了解组句成篇的各种原则和必要的写作技巧,以求全文连贯和紧凑。特别是要强调掌握两个基本原则“统一性”和“连贯性”。统一性(unity)是指所写的句子必须紧扣主题,而且要结构严谨,中心突出。连贯性(coherence)要求所写文章的逻辑顺序正确,条理清楚,层次分明。试比较下面两段表达:

1)one day on his way to school,Tom saw a wallet lying on the ground. He picked it up and wondered whose it was. He thought the loser must be very worried.

2)One day on his way to school, Tom saw a wallet. It was on the ground. The weather was fine. He often goes to school on foot.

从语法上看,两个句子没有错误。但例1) 是一个连贯的整体,因为3个句子表达的意思联系紧密,而且,这种紧密的联系是通过一定的词和句法加以体现的。例2)就不同了,各句表达的意思无法构成一个主题鲜明、意义连贯的整体。读者无法弄清楚这个组合要表达的中心意思,也就无法达到交流的目的。所以教师可以从初一开始注意这方面的训练,随着学生英语知识的增加,内容可以逐渐加深。平时应要求学生用英语写日记,尽量用当天所学知识来表达。这样不仅表达了自己的思想,同时又复习了新学内容,可谓一石两鸟。

教师对学生的作文应多采用激励性的评价,多表扬、鼓励和肯定,少一些批评、打击和否定。让每

个学生尝到成功的喜悦,从而乐于写作,善于写作。只要我们运用恰当有效的方法坚持一步一个脚印地训练学生的写作能力,同时进行正确的写作技巧的指导,便能达到预期的目的。
