Living in the city or living in the countryside？
Nowadays, people are often asked, “Would you like to live in the city or live in the countryside?” This makes them puzzled and unable to give a specific(具体的) answer. In fact, living in the city and living in the countryside are completely different lifestyles.
Take living in the city for example; the public transportation services there are very convenient. Taxis, buses and the subway can quickly take people anywhere they want inside or outside the city. Also people enjoy the entertainment and the goods of the city. There are many public places for entertainment, such as parks, cinemas and nightclubs(夜总会). Shops and supermarkets are well stocked(备有) with goods of all kinds, high in quality and low in price. Third, some people like to live in the city for its fast pace(节奏) of life.
Compared to living in the city, though public transportation services are not good in the countryside, you don’t have to stand the noise, traffic jams(堵塞) and pollution that people in the city experience. Though the countryside provides fewer entertaining places and supermarkets, it is close to nature. Fresh air, green hills, and beautiful flowers are here and there. Third, the pace of life in the countryside is much slower and people are more open and friendly.
The decision, whether city life is better or country life is better, really depends on people’s different point of view. However, the best lifestyle would have to be the lifestyle that meets ones needs.
