So diverse is our life that we may face varieties of choices frequently. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out our own inner voice. Be true to ourselves and follow our heart and intuition. There is no necessity to live your life to please others.
I’ll never forget that morning when word came that there would be an English speech contest in our city. Born with enthusiasm for learning English, I told the teacher I’d like to take part in the competition, which, however, made the whole class burst into laughter. As a student from the countryside, I was among the few ones whose pronunciation was the poorest in our class. Overwhelmed by great embarrassment and depression, I almost gave up. But deep in my heart, in no way would I submit to other's perspectives on me. Countless mornings passed when I followed the tape, imitated the native speakers and corrected my mistakes. My efforts and perseverance also won me great respect and trust from my classmates. Eventually, as everyone expected, I won the first place in the contest.
How important it is to be positive, confident and self-adhere when facing different opinions and altitude! Only by throwing away your fear and hesitation can you stick to your dream. Lead your own way and never mind what others say!
